Migration of 35 active websites on a new server.

Technical Details

Being active the website migration had to be completed unnoticed. To begin with, a copy of each website was created on the new server and then all necessary changes were made on the corresponding nameservers.

The greatest challenge was that one server had Plesk installed while the other CPanel.

Most of the websites were built using WordPress, so the source files were directly transfered to the new server, new databases were built that were filled with backup data from the old server and appropriate changes were made on WordPress configuration file to properly connect with the new database.

Finally, a successful transfer of all the website corresponding emails was made
