The goal was to update an old WordPress, to be more secure and less buggy.

Following the original design, a new WordPress template was created. The website’s main visible components (such as the pictures in the front-page slider) can be altered dynamically.

For optimization purposes, the front page slider does not use an existing front page slider plugin (although, they can also be quite fast).

It also implements a custom booking form, developed in the past, which uses wp_mail() to send to the administrator booking requests, with custom captcha field.

The most interesting part, was the development of Libre-map plugin, that implements Open Layer to create free maps, no API needed.

Finally, after basic optimization the website scores 97% on google’s pagespeed.
